Michal Berns (President) moved to the U.S. two years ago from Jerusalem, Israel. She is currently a sophomore majoring in media law and policy. When she’s not busy engaging students at Hillel, Michal enjoys being with friends, shopping, and sports. A fun fact: Michal used to be on the Israeli National Flag Football team!

Brad Stamm (Vice President) is a junior majoring in meteorology with a focus in Weather Risk Management. He can be found at most Penn State sports cheering on all teams from womens volleyball to football. However, he is best known for waving the flag in the student section at Men's Basketball games. He enjoys helping to cook Hillel's Shabbat dinners, long walks on the beach with a beautiful sunset, and his favorite kitchen utensil is the spatula because of its multitude of uses.

Adam Reich (Treasurer) is from Livingston, NJ.  He is a junior, majoring in Accounting.  Adam likes that Hillel offers students a wide range of experiences tailored to their desires, whether it includes a Bagel Brunch, THON, Shabbat or Birthright.  He enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music and watching sports, particularly baseball.

Ilana Bucholtz (Secretary) is a freshman from Doylestown, PA.  At Penn State, Ilana is involved with the Women’s Chorale and loves to be on stage and involved in musical theater. She also enjoys traveling, working out, watching movies and listening to bands like Coldplay and the Fray. A broadcast journalism major, Ilana aspires to be a host on the Today show!

Jared Jacobs (Social Chair) is a secondary education social studies major who aspires to go to law school one day. In his free time, Jared enjoys a good party, cooking really tasty food, and listening to amazingly good music (he’d love to give you suggestions!). Jared likes being busy all the time, and socializing is one of his favorite things to do. He looks forward to meeting all of you!

Josh Yorke (Religious Chair) is a junior majoring in actuarial science from Bridgewater, NJ. At Penn State, Josh enjoys spending time with his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau, and playing IM sports, especially tennis, basketball, and soccer. Josh loves Hillel because he feels like it creates a tangible Jewish community on campus that might not exist without it. He had the time of his life on the Hillel Taglit-Birthright Israel trip and encourages others to go!

Sam Werner (Religious Chair) came to Penn State from a fairly small town in northern New Jersey.  A freshman considering biological engineering, Samuel enjoys playing the violin, reading, and cooking in the Hillel kitchen. If you ever want to talk to someone about anything, he’s your guy.  Samuel is loving his first year at Penn State, and is already anticipating working towards even better years in the future.

Arielle Evans (THON Chair) is a Junior at Penn State who grew up right outside of Philadelphia. She is majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Education Theory and Policy and some day hopes to make a difference in the lives of children by becoming a Kindergarten teacher.  In her free time, she loves to run and do yoga.  She also loves traveling, and had the most wonderful experience on Taglit-Birthright Israel last summer. Arielle loves Hillel because she has met so many new and amazing people and cannot wait until THON 2009!

Shira Friedman (Engagement Chair) grew up in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. She is currently a freshman at Penn State majoring in Kinesiology. She enjoys traveling, sports, getting together with friends, seeing family and relaxing.

Craig Tepper (Holocaust/Education Chair), a sophomore at Penn State, grew up in West Windsor, New Jersey. When not working on his major in business marketing, Craig enjoys watching too much TV, doing crossword puzzles, and following anything having to do with the New York Yankees. Fun Fact: Craig has been on 5 cruises!

Brittany Sykes (Marketing Chair) from Harrisburg, PA, is a junior majoring in public relations with a minor in psychology. Brittany is involved in PRSSA and Valley Magazine, however, her love is thoroughly for Hillel! When Brittany is not busy getting the word out about our events, she loves to watch movies, hang out with friends, and sleep. She loves meeting new people, so contact her at any time!

Naomi Silverman (Community Service Chair) is a freshman majoring in Education. Previously, Naomi has been a member of Natural Helpers, Operation Respect, kickline and cross country. Naomi loves hanging out with her friends and family, especially her sister! Naomi also loves the Mets, going to the beach, and being a camp counselor.

Nancy Londin (Israel Chair) hails from a town called New City, located half hour north of the city that never sleeps. A junior majoring in communication sciences and disorders, Nancy is studying to become a speech therapist. After experiencing the trip of a lifetime on Taglit-Brithright Israel, Nancy has engaged herself in exploring as much of Israeli culture as possible. While not dedicating herself to her studies, Nancy enjoys spending time with family, relaxing with a good book, and playing board games with friends.
