Jordynn Cheatle

Title: Springboard Innovation Fellow

Jordynn Cheatle is from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with honors in Comparative Literature and Global and International Studies. Throughout her time at the university, she was actively involved in multiple campus organizations through holding leadership roles and engaging in diverse experiences, such as with Alpha Delta Pi and the Schreyer Honors College. Having had no experience with a Jewish community growing up, Jordynn did not get involved with Hillel until her junior year, where she discovered her passion for the organization
by participating in two trips: the Perspectives trip to Israel & the West Bank, as well as an alternative spring break in Curaçao, where she helped to refurbish Jewish culture on the island. These experiences abroad therefore ignited her involvement in the Jewish community and inspired her to join the Hillel International Student Cabinet and serve as a StandWithUs Emerson Fellow. Now, as a Springboard Fellow, Jordynn is eager to bring a sense of community to students by offering support, guidance, and of
course, lots of coffee. As someone who once fell victim to not feeling “Jewish enough,” Jordynn feels emboldened to help students find their worth as a Jewish student just as Hillel once did for her. When she’s not busy at Hillel, you can find Jordynn immersed in reading, traveling, running, cycling, or at Penn State football games!
