DESCRIPTION:This is the day that we elect the President of Hillel.  You can vote online on this date and find details here! \n\nBelow is the job description for the President and Senior Vice President positions:\n\nPresident\n\n\tServes as spokesperson for Hillel and represents the organization to the University\, other campus groups\, and the community\n\tServes as a full\, voting member on the Hillel Board of Directors representing student interests\n\tAssists in planning events with other board members\n\tAttends and plans all Executive Board meetings with the Senior Vice President\n\tHas full knowledge of everything happening in the organization\, and oversee the General Board\n\tHas full understanding of Hillel’s mission and vision\, and has a developed plan of how the organization will grow\n\tWill be expected to meet with the Senior VP and staff at least once a week outside of Executive Board Meetings\n\tWill play an active role in the leadership training and development of board members\n\tWill attend Student Leader Roundtable meetings and form relationships with the leaders in other organizations\n\tAttend Jewish Leader Roundtable meetings and work with leaders to plan meetings and work to progress overall Jewish Life on campus\n\tEncourages Jewish students to become actively involved in Hillel and to attend Hillel events\n\tResponds to emails and phone calls within 24 hours\n\tAttends extended board training retreats in January and August\n\tAttends any quarterly scheduled retreats\n\n \n\nSenior VP\n\n\tEnsures the good and welfare of the general body\n\tServes as a full\, voting member on the Hillel Board of Directors representing student interests\n\tMeets frequently with all members of the general body face-to-face in order to build stronger relationships and understand the culture of the internal organization at any given moment\n\tSends out weekly emails to the General Body updating on events coming up during the week\, committee meeting times\, and relevant information\n\tHas full knowledge of everything happening in the General Body and plays an integral role in overseeing the members\n\tDetects issues within the general body\, and voices them to the Executive Board\n\tAttends all Executive Board meetings\n\tAttends all Executive Board members meetings with their committees\n\tWill be expected to meet with the President and Staff at least once a week outside of Executive Board meetings\n\tWill play an active role in training the Executive Board to help them put their mission and vision into action with their respective committees\n\tResponds to e-mails and phone calls within 24 hours\n\tAttends extended board training retreats in January and August\n\tAttends any scheduled quarterly training retreats\n\n
