Day of Remembrance – October 27, 2019
As October 27th marks the first anniversary of the shootings at Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, we as the Penn State Hillel community will come together for a chance to reflect on the tragedy and help raise money and awareness as we work to move forward.
Throughout the day, we will host various activities at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center and conclude the day by coming together for Havdallah on Old Main Lawn. A portion of the challah sales will go to the Victims of Terror Fund at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. We hope to see you throughout the day, please stop by at any point if you’re free and show your support for the Pittsburgh and Jewish community as a whole.
