Shabbat

Every Friday night, students are invited to join Hillel for a festive Shabbat service and dinner. Traditionally, students can enjoy a Shabbat meal at the Pasquerilla Center.  Even though we are not able to provide a community Shabbat meal this semester due to COVID-19, we are still dedicated to providing a meaningful Shabbat experience for Penn State Jewish students.  This semester, we will offer Shabbox: a kosher Shabbat meal and kits containing the necessities for Shabbat ritual.   Pick up your pre-ordered Shabbox on the Pasquerilla Center Patio 3 – 5:30 PM on Fridays! If there is inclement weather you will be able to pick up your Shabbox in Room 118.  Pickup will be contactless. Please wear your mask! Virtual services are led by our Ruach (spiritual) interns. All Shabbat meals are no fee for our students thanks to the support of our generous alumni, parents, and friends.

Interested in hosting your own Shabbat? you can! Check out JewPAC and start planning!
