Antisemitism on College Campuses: A conversation with Deborah Lipstadt

Join us for an engaging conversation about antisemitism on college campuses with Deborah Lipstadt. Attendees will gain a more nuanced and research-grounded understanding of antisemitism, learning of its origins and vectors, as well as strategies for combating the myriad ways in which antisemitism manifests on campuses today. This discussion will build on Deborah Lipstadt’s recent book, Antisemitism: Here and Now.
This event is sponsored by Washington and Lee University Hillel and will be moderated by Washington & Lee University Weinstein Scholars.
Dr. Deborah E. Lipstadt, Dorot Professor of Holocaust Studies at Emory University in Atlanta, has published and taught about the Holocaust and antisemitism for close to 40 years. Professor Lipstadt’s book, ANTISEMITISM: HERE AND NOW has just been published to stellar reviews and been awarded the NATIONAL JEWISH BOOK AWARD. Publisher’s Weekly described it as “measured and carefully noninflammatory.. intelligent and evenhanded.” Kirkus described it as a “tour de force.” The book has already appeared in a German and Hebrew translation and will soon appear in Polish, Italian, and French.
