The Perspectives Trip gives student leaders on campus the option to explore Israel and the Palestinian Authority to learn about the conflict. This trip is open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who want to deepen their knowledge, engage in challenging conversations, and help to create an environment of dialogue on campus.
This is an exclusive opportunity to explore and get familiar with one of the most discussed issues in the world today. This very competitive program looks for student leaders interested in better understanding Israel and the Palestinian Authority and to share what they learn with the broader Penn State community. This trip strives to educate current and emerging campus leaders about the complexities of Israel and the Israeli- Palestinian conflict in a nuanced, immersive, and experiential way.
Throughout the journey, participants will be expected to engage in group discussions and reflections, ask challenging questions, and practice active listening. Over the span of 10 days, we will form a profound learning community and create space for understanding the opportunities and challenges facing Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
All participants will be required to attend three intensive pre-trip orientation sessions during the fall semester and the follow-up programming in the spring semester.
Students selected for this initiative will participate in a very highly-subsidized 10-day educational journey to Israel and the Palestinian Authority, including all flights, hotels, travel within Israel and the West Bank, as well as two meals per day.
Once accepted, Penn State Hillel requires a refundable $100 deposit. Should you cancel within 30 days of departure, you will be responsible for the full cost of the trip.
