Shir Boner

Shir is a first-year Jewish Agency Israel Fellow at Penn State Hillel. Shir grew up by the beach in Netanya, Israel. Her experiences include guiding in a youth movement and spending two summers at URJ Camp Kalsman as stuff and leadership team. She is a recent graduate of Tel Aviv University, where she earned a BA in Science.  During her academic studies, Shir pursued her passion for baking, completing a professional pastry-chef course at Danon Culinary School. Before becoming a Fellow, she worked as a scholarship coordinator at the South African Zionist Federation, where she gained valuable insights into Judaism and the Aliya process. Shir is excited to connect with Jewish students, learn about their experiences, and build meaningful relationships. She is looking forward to fostering a strong connection to Israel and Jewish identity among students, sharing the diverse aspects of Israeli culture, history, and modern society, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for them.
