Hillel Benefitting THON™ (HBT) is a THON™ organization made up of Penn State Students involved with Penn State Hillel. We offer support for our THON™ family Layn Burger and the Burger-Rodriguez Family. We pride ourselves on fostering a meaningful connection with our family and experience with THON™ for each of our members.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to financially and emotionally support the Four Diamonds Fund. Our year-long fundraising efforts culminate in Penn State’s 46-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance maraTHONTM! We pride ourselves on fostering a meaningful connection with Layn, our THONTM child, and his family and creating a sense of community for each of our members.

Founded in 2005, as Penn State’s Jewish Organization benefiting THON™ and later LEV. Since then, Hillel THON™ has raised over $200,000. Our THONTM kid Layn is 20 years-old. Layn enjoys watching anime; cars, both visually and working on them; and all different genres of music, especially rock music. Our THON™ family includes his two brothers Romeo and Mason, his mother Tami, his dad Lonnie, and stepdad Ralfi. Layn and his family have gotten to know many people involved with Hillel Benefitting THON™ over the years, and we are excited to keep making more memories in the future!
